My first day of adventure...

Goodbye Dallas! This is the view from my first plane ride above and below is when we are entering England! Every time I joked with Dad, goodheartedly of course, he would say "I'll be real happy when I see her dern plane flying out of here" Well Dad, here's what it looked like, I am sure you enjoyed it on your end.
Below is my house I am staying at in Oxford, I am on the top floor and I am sharing a room with Hallie!
Above is a picture of what the streets were like in the part of Oxford we walked up and down. Its all so close together and the man driving our bus to Oxford said the houses in these parts of town cost 1 million pounds and the apartments about 800,000 pounds! There are so many prestigious private schools and the University of Oxford is also here. We saw several people wearing formal outfits and black jackets, some with flowers on their lapel. We asked one guy today and he went to the University of Oxford. They had an exam and they wore a different color flower for each exam and a red one for the final. So different than what we are used to!
We went on a walk shortly after we got to Oxford and this is a meadow that is beautiful that you can walk through, alongside the cows which is fun. They know for a fact that nothing has EVER been built on this land since 1066 for sure and they can pretty much say before it was a meadow as well. Such old history.

To the left is the Eagle and Child, a famous restaurant/pub where CS Lewis and his cronies (you could say) would gather together to discuss ideas. Great minds, I will definitely be going here on my stay. Rough first picture, but there will be better ones.

To test out my blog, I went into google and typed in Oxford England and posted a picture I thought was pretty. Well when I got to Oxford we went walking and went down to Christ's Church. These next few pictures are of Christ's Church and this one on the right is identical to the picture I pulled off google. So crazy and so beautiful.
This is just the same part of the gardens behind it and a sign that explains what it is.
This was I think the cathedral to Christ's church and behind is a beautiful meadow that we walked beside. When we were walking the town, our house mom told us
This is just another view of Christ's church from the path we were walking. We followed a river that had people laying in the sun chilling and people punting. (punting apparently is using a blunt stick and pushing the ground underneath the water). Below is just another view, it was just so pretty.

This is just a picture of one of the inside markets they had. Fresh fruit, cute coffee shops and several other shops. I had a delicious chocolate chip cookie. There's also a milkshake shop that has a reputation. Probably over 100 flavors, all looking delicious.
